Yom Meyuhad

Shalom! Here’s an update on Machane activities for the past couple days:
-For “Bocoup”---hailed as the “best Bocoup ever”---the Bogrim (oldest chanichim) took over camp and turned it into a Comic Book Superhero fantasy.

-All of Machaneh enjoyed a day of Tiyulim (hikes) on trails that begin on our own Bluff Lake campsite. The Shomrim, Bonim, and Bogrim hiked to Big Bear Lake and went for a swim and the Sayalim and Chotrim did a shorter loop. The day ended with a rousing Kumzits (campfire sing-a-long) session.

-For Yom Meyuchad, camp was transformed into a Jungle Utopia. As the day progressed, it became clear that this Paradise might in fact be a repressive and homogeneous DYSTOPIA. The kids discussed equality, diversity, and democratic values and liberated themselves from the chains of conformity. The day culminated in splatter-paint dance party, where everyone got to reveal his/her own unique colors.

Mazel Tov on the new campsite! It brings me so much joy to see Gilboa thriving, and I know it will continue to thrive and improve summer after summer.

Keep spreading love and actualizing your dreams Gilboa!

Much love,
Aaron
