More Chugim Presentations
The first full day of Machaneh (camp) is complete! Tzevet (staff)
is implementing a new seder yom (daily schedule) this summer, which includes a
block of “Zman Brecha” (pool time). This is a time for all of machaneh to hang
out, play games, read, talk and just spend time together.
Our Melechet-Yad (arts & crafts) specialist led chanichim in painting a mural around our pool! Projects like this go a long way towards making our new campsite feel like home.
Another camp improvement is our “Luach Modaot” (Community Board)
on which tzevet and chanichim can post announcements about the goings-on of machaneh.
At the first full day of machaneh, chanichim had a chance to participate for the first time in their chuggim, Sadna’ot (for Sayalim, our youngest campers, it was kayaking on the lake), sports and Avodah (more about these in future posts). A camp-wide activity - tochnit erev (evening program) ended the day. At “Tech-Night” chanichim learned how to fix the machaneh computer, and in a process that involved team-building activities, they also learned how to prioritize human interaction over dependence on technology.
