Avodah
Here at Gilboa we all do Avodah (work). A few of the Avodot are Briut, ToBo, and Bishul. Bishul is chopping vegetables, Briut is cleaning bathrooms, and ToBo (or Toranut Boker) is setting up breakfast and washing dishes after breakfast.

I'm in ToBo and I like it because you get to work with people that you probably wouldn't meet otherwise. We also get to listen to music while washing dishes. At camp we think that labor is important and that we work on the land and for what we need. Instead of hiring people, we work and get a sense of ownership over our things, and it also makes us a tighter community.

Kupa Trip
Our Kupa Trip was the highlight of camp. What we did was ride this dark green truck that has a six wheel drive. On the way, as we drove up the hill, it felt like we were flying at that moment.

Two nights before the kupa trip we were trying to decide what to do. We argued about what to do, but we got to an agreement after a big discussion, on going to get lunch, a movie and ice cream.

As we got into town, it was so weird seeing people who aren't at camp. We waited at this park for the pizza and once it got there we gobbled it up. After the pizza we walked over to the movie theater and watched "Finding Dory". The movie ended and we got to eat ice cream. We went back to the park and played games.

Time Travelling Pine Cone
Time Travelling Pine Cone is one of the chuggim that we can sign up for. It was made up by Yahli, Claire and Fry. Me and a bunch of other kids from all different age groups are in the chug. We travel back in time and fix things that the evil bad guy messes up in time. At the last chug of the session we had a paint battle with them.

Visitors Day/Wish Night
Visitors Day is after two weeks of the session. Family, parents, and friends come and visit, participate in activities and eat lunch. Wish Night is the evening activity after visitors day. At the beginning of camp you write down some wishes you want to happen at camp. Some of them will be fulfilled and if the wish it too hard to make, then the person gets pied.

Hatzaga
Every day at camp, we have a skit called "hatzaga". This year, it is about two pigeons names Squabstein and Squabber. They have three friends - Peajean, Piegon and Kernel. The skits are really good and funny, but there is always an educational theme. This year's educational theme is about the environment and saving it.

Larping and Gilboa
At Gilboa after seeing hatzaga at the medura pit, we go to chuggim. I'm in Larping which is a fun game where you make swords made of duct tape and pool noodles and do Live Action Role Play. There are different designs and shapes of the swords. We have battles, hunger games and more. Larping is so fun because we use our imagination.

Tiyul (hike)
One really cool thing I want to write about is tiyul. On it, Benny (the dog) came with our kvutza the whole day. We poured water into our hands for him, but he leapt up and drank from the water bottle and slurped it. Along the way, we saw a rattlesnake. We also stopped for lunch next to a huge rock called "castle rock" and we climbed, and could see all of Big Bear. When we got back down we saw that Benny had gotten into a huge can of tuna we had for lunch. At night, we built a fire at our campsite, which was made purely of things from nature aside from the pit. We danced and sang around the fire. We also had smores.
