What is a "shmeryl"?

Last night, an evil sorceress stole all the dairy at machane and we had to join forces to reclaim our milk rights! Aside from that, everything has been going on as normal. Mazkirut initiated our weekly “clean tzrif challenge”. The winner will be announced shortly.

In other news, this year’s shmeryl is in full swing. A “shmeryl” is a poem that one chanich dedicates to another. The writer presents the poem in front of the whole machane at a meal. The recipient then writes a new shmeryl about a new chanich. The most recent recipient? Josh Roizman!

And our Sadnaot rotations are in full swing. Yesterday it was Bogrim at the lake, Shomrim at Drama and Chotrim at Rikud (dance).
